The Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce will host a forum for Dripping Springs City Council candidates April 4.
The event will be held at Dripping Springs Ranch Park and Event Center beginning at 7:00 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m. Doors will be opened at 6:30 p.m.
The purpose of the forum, according to a Chamber release, is to give Dripping Springs voters an opportunity to hear candidates discuss the issues of importance to them in the upcoming election. This event is free and open to the public.
All six candidates vying for the three council seats have been invited.
The candidates will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to the audience and will answer written questions from the public during this moderated event. The Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce will follow a nonpartisan, unbiased and impartial format, according to the release. A non-City resident will moderate the forum.
“This is a great opportunity for the city council candidates to share their views on a plethora of issues and meet residents, Sherri Parks, Dripping Springs Chamber executive director, said in the release. “And at the same time, we all can learn more about each candidate’s background and experience and decide who might get our vote in the upcoming election.”
Early voting for the May 6 election is April 24 to May 2.
