Music on the Square
A free, family-friendly concert series will be held every Friday in May on the lawn of the Hays County Historic Courthouse in downtown San Marcos. Guests are encouraged to support local businesses by ordering takeout, while also bringing chairs, blankets and beverages in glass-free containers.
Lawn games and shopping from local vendors start at 5:30 p.m. The opening set will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the headliner will follow at 7:30 p.m. Sets will feature musicians who started their careers in San Marcos.

KASZ pancake breakfast
The Kyle Area Senior Zone (KASZ) is holding a $6 pancake breakfast on May 7 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Plates will include three pancakes, sausage, a biscuit, scrambled eggs and either coffee or orange juice. Invasive Plant Removal
The Kyle Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to remove invasive plants on the Plum Creek Trail in the Lake Kyle area, with members of the Hays Masters Naturalist program. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, at 673 Ferrule Drive.

Mother’s Day Brunch
Treaty Oak Distilling in Dripping Springs is welcoming moms to a Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 8 at 11 a.m. The multi-selection brunch will feature fruits, vegetable sides, pastries and a carving station.

Zoi Market celebrates one year anniversary
Zoi Market will hold their one-year anniversary party on Saturday, May 14 from noon to 8 p.m. at 200 N Main St. in Buda. The celebration is a reintroduction to all the market offers, with a panel on the pharmacy, samples from Zoi's local vendors, live music, and more.
Dripping Springs Community Festival
With the help of local churches, attendees can get to know the Hays County Sheriff’s Office at this free event for the Dripping Springs community on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at Dripping Springs Ranch Park. There will be games for kids, a K9 demo, drones, SWAT vehicles and other displays, along with food and drinks.
Celebrate 150 years with First Baptist Church DS
First Baptist Church of Dripping Springs is celebrating their 150th anniversary on June 5 with a day-long celebration. The Open House begins at 9 a.m. and worship service starts at 10:45 a.m. An outdoor BBQ will follow at 12 p.m. with a celebration program at 2 p.m. RSVP at www.FBCDS.com150.
