See “The Cover of Life” at The Wimberley Players
The Cover of Life, written by R.T. Robinson and directed by Tracy Arnold, is a play based around three brides in rural Louisiana in 1943 and tells a “deeply affecting story about the struggle for self-worth” filled with charm and fun.
Adult tickets are at $22. Student tickets with an ID are $18. The play will also be streamed at Broadway on Demand, with individual tickets for $22 or household tickets for $44. Groups over eight will receive a $2 discount per ticket. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. The play runs until May 22.

Dripping Springs Race to Brunch 5k
The Dripping Springs Race to Brunch 5k kicks off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 7. The 5k run takes you along the scenic trails in Caliterra with views of Onion Creek. Participants will meet at the finish line with a brunch cocktail from Treaty Oak Distilling (for those 21+).
Registration costs $35 and includes a finishers medal, event t-shirt and brunch cocktail. A $100 cash prize for the best overall male and female winners will be awarded. The event will also feature brunch cuisine available to purchase, local artisans, live music by The Soap Boxers and a complimentary photo booth. Tickets can be found and purchased at eventbrite.com.
Dripping Springs chamber luncheon
A special graduation presentation will be held at the monthly Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce luncheon. The luncheon will be held on May 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Deep Eddy Vodka Tasting Room. Single lunch admission is $25 for chamber members or $45 for guests.
National Pizza Party Day
In honor of National Pizza Party Day on May 20, Fall Creek Vineyards is partnering with Mandola’s Italian Kitchen and cooking pizza on-site in their brick oven at Fall Creek Vineyards in Driftwood from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The dinner menu includes freshly baked focaccia bread, salad, four varieties of pizza to choose from, all paired with Fall Creek Vineyards wine.
