Fourth-graders at Dripping Springs Elementary recently completed their “Famous Texans” project. Students chose a prominent Texan – either current or historical – and research that person’s life and the impact he or she had on Texas. They created fictitious Time magazine cover featuring their Famous Texan, created a box of items representing that person, and dressed up like him or her. Students had the chance to share a presentation on their Famous Texans with parents and other students.
