DRIPPING SPRINGS – On Saturday, May 7, the Tigers softball team swept Southwest Legacy High School in Game 2 of the series played in San Antonio.
The final score in game 1 was Tigers 1 and Southwest Legacy 0; the final score in game 2 was Tigers 4 and Southwest Legacy 1.
In game 1 on Friday Night, Tiger Pitcher Jordan Cox pitched a 1 hit shutout with 7 strikeouts. Lillian Scott smashed a double off the wall to drive in the only Tiger run.
In game 2 on Saturday, the Tigers traveled to Southwest Legacy High School and won the game and the series. The final score was Tigers 4 to Southwest Legacy High School 1. Haiden Anderson pitched a complete game with 9 strikeouts.
The Tigers advance to round 3 and will next play McCollum High School of San Antonio on Friday at 7 p.m. at San Marcos High School.
