Nearly two months ago, Kyle teenager Michael Mince was killed in a hit-and-run along FM 2001 in Niederwald.
Since then, investigators have not received concrete leads in finding the driver responsible.
Officials have received tips but none that lead to finding the driver, said Robbie Barrera, Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson.
As time goes on, it’s less likely authorities will find the suspect, Barrera said.
Authorities believe the suspect’s vehicle was a red Dodge Ram 3500 work pickup truck which could have damage to the right side and a missing side mirror.
Mince had just left a gas station on the corner of FM 2001 and State Highway 21 on Dec. 26, and he was walking westbound on FM 2001 when he was hit.
Mince, who was a Lehman High School sophomore, would have turned 16 in January.
