Photos of snow in Hays County 2017

Hays County residents celebrated a heavy, and rather unusual, dose of winter weather Dec. 7 as roughly four inches of snow fell in some parts, which left the area looking more like Bedford Falls than Central Texas. The resulting weather forced Hays CISD officials to cancel class Dec. 8, while city governments and businesses began operations a littler later than normal.

Additionally, many kids and kids-at-heart stepped foot to play in the snow. Below are a few of the nearly 100 photos submitted by readers from the Dec. 7 snowfall. More photos can be found on this gallery. Thanks to all of our readers for submitting their photos.
