A message of unity, but also support was the theme for those who participated in the annual San Marcos Pride Festival and parade, which took place Saturday in downtown San Marcos. The parade and festival was meant to unify in a positive way against violence and discrimination towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and ally people, according to the Pride Festival website.
