Forty-two first half points helped the Westlake Chaparrals (8-0, 4-0) crush the Lehman Lobos (1-8, 0-5) 56-7 Friday at Bob Shelton Stadium.

The Chaparrals, which are currently ranked third in the state, totaled 224 passing yards, 139 rushing yards, and scored 42 points in the first half. Meanwhile, the Lobos only mustered 36 total yards of offense.

The Lobo offense played better in the second half, ushered by freshman quarterback Bryant Lewis, who went 6 of 11 for 53 yards and a touchdown in the final 24 minutes.
