A San Marcos man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly threatened to bomb the Hays County Jail during a phone call to the Hays County Sheriff's Office 911 dispatch center.

Chance Bandy, 35, of San Marcos, was arrested for terroristic threat, which is a Class B misdemeanor. Bandy was transported to the Hays County Jail where he is waiting to be magistrated by a judge.

According to a Hays County press release, the HCSO received a 911 phone call around 9:26 a.m. Wednesday from a man who said he wanted to talk to a detective or sergeant.
