Late last week, Hays CISD honored Hemphill Elementary teacher Javier Gonzales with a commemorative ring after he was named the 2017 Elementary Teacher of the Year. Interim Superintendent Dr. Ann Dixon, along with Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools Alejandro Gongora, made the presentation of the Herff Jones-provided ring.
