The Hays County Commissioners Court proclaimed March 24 as World TB Day. The Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) is partnering with the State of Texas to support the individuals, families and communities affected by Tuberculosis (TB) and renew the commitment to preventing the spread of TB by promoting public awareness and continuing preventive efforts. The campaign, "Invest to End TB, Save Lives " aims to raise awareness about the international health threat presented by TB.
The HCLHD was also on hand this morning to receive the proclamation by the commissioners declaring April 4 through April 10 as National Public Health Week.
