Ten Dripping Springs High School teachers were honored at the September Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce luncheon for participating in the “externship” program with local businesses. Honorees include Jad Jadeja, Emily Grice, Travis Crain, Lauren Milner, Kris Vannoy Nicole Watts, Evelyn Balderrama, Kim Gravell, Ginny Lindzey and Jamie Biel.
Teacher externships were sponsored by the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce and Texas Workforce Solutions – pairing high school teachers with area businesses to learn how classroom content is connected to the real world and workplace. This knowledge from the teachers will help students understand and develop the academic and technical skills they need to enter the workforce and compete for jobs in demand in their local communities.
