Work crews will complete the final construction work on the new northbound Yarrington Road exit 210 ramp overnight Thursday.
According to a Texas Department of Transportation press release, construction on the new ramp is expected to start at 9 p.m. Thursday, July 6, and will be complete Friday, July, 7 at 5 a.m.
Crews will close the southbound outside lane of Interstate 35 between Burleson Street and Old US Highway 81 in Kyle to complete construction.
On Friday morning, crews will open the new northbound Yarrington Road exit 210 ramp located 1.6 miles south of Yarrington Road. The existing exit north of RM 150 will be permanently closed to traffic.
This ramp reversal project from the Blanco River to RM 150 switches traffic onto three new northbound ramps and permanently closes two existing ramps to better accommodate the flow of traffic, according to the release.
Work on the $9 million project is expected to continue throughout the summer, weather permitting. The contractor is Angel Brother Enterprises.
