Postseason dreams are on the line in Cedar Park Friday as Hays and Vista Ridge battle to determine who will take the final playoff spot in 25-6A. Hays enters Friday's contest riding a two game win streak where they outscored Lehman and Leander 88-20. The Rebel offense, led by RB Thai Mayberry and a dominant offensive line, could continue to find success against a Vista Ridge defense that conceded 49 points and over 560 yards of offense to Vandegrift last week. On the season, Vista Ridge has given up 34 points per game. However, Vista Ridge's offense could be its best defense. While held scoreless last week, Vista Ridge has averaged 30 points per game and has eclipsed the 40 point mark twice. Hays' secondary will contend with dual threat QB Jacob Taute and RB Joe Goodwin. Fans should see plenty of emotion in what could be one of the more exciting games in the area this week.
