By Natalie Frels BUDA — The Hays CISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the district’s 2023-24 Compensation Plan following a series of meetings about the proposal.

BUDA — Hays CISD Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright announced last week that two new principals have been named.

— On Tuesday, April 25, the Hays CISD Board of Trustees approved the superintendent’s recommendation to employ Christina Courson as the chief human resources officer and Tim Robinson as the deputy human resources officer.

HAYS COUNTY — Hays CISD voters will decide on more than $367 million worth of districtwide improvements through a bond election to be held on Saturday, May 6.

— More funds and resources will be provided to Hays CISD to address a variety of mental health concerns.

KYLE — A new athletic coordinator and head football coach was named for Lehman High School.

— The bond process is a strenuous one, especially for a district that is growing as fast as Hays CISD, but the board of trustees has officially settled on a package that voters will see on the May ballot.
