The Hays CISD Board of Trustees heard an update regarding ongoing projects within the district at its July 22 meeting.

By Brittany Kelley KYLE — Hays CISD trustee Esperanza Orosco began the original Clothes Closet in her classroom in the late 2000s. Little did she know that more than a decade later, she would be aiding more than 1,000 children each year with donations. Now, the organization is asking for community help to provide children with clothes during the summer heat.

BUDA — At its May 13 meeting, the Hays CISD Board of Trustees officially welcomed Geoff Seibel and incumbent Courtney Runkle after canvassing the votes from the May 4 election, as well as voted for new board roles.

BUDA — At its regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 28, the Hays CISD Board of Trustees approved an application for an exception to House Bill 3 (H.B. 3) based on staffing criteria.
