BUDA — The city of Buda held its annual State of the City Address on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

— Several citizens came forward to voice their concerns regarding the proposed Persimmon development at the regular Buda City Council meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 1 prior to a workshop and deliberation in an effort to establish terms for a development agreement (DA) with MileStone Community Builders.

BUDA — After a heated discussion about traffic, Buda City Council approved a request for a zoning map amendment from interstate business to planned development for the property to be known as Azure Modern Living, located off East Main Street near the I-35 intersection, following a public hearing at its July 18 meeting.

Hays County and TxDOT invited the community to participate in a ribbon-cutting celebration for the RM 967/Robert S. Light Boulevard project at 10:30 a.m. on July 13. After the ribbon was cut by Hays County Commissioner Walt Smith, he, Rep. Erin Zwiener, TxDOT Austin District Engineer Tucker Ferguson, Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra and Buda council member Evan Ture spoke to the small crowd shying away from the sun as traffic whizzed by.

BUDA — A few weeks ago, a number of residents in the city limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of Buda received an anonymous survey pertaining to the proposed Persimmon development. Now, developer MileStone Community Builders is providing some clarification on the reasoning for the survey and its results.
