KYLE — Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Center is partnering with Hays CISD, Hays County and city of Kyle to establish a Juvenile Behavioral Health Program. The partnership comes after Kyle City Council awarded the solicitation to increase access to mental health services to the organization in January 2024.

BUDA — At its May 13 meeting, the Hays CISD Board of Trustees officially welcomed Geoff Seibel and incumbent Courtney Runkle after canvassing the votes from the May 4 election, as well as voted for new board roles.

BUDA — The Hays CISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a seat belt plan at its April 15 meeting, which will equip the district with a fleet of buses fitted with seat belts at the earliest possible date.

HAYS COUNTY — The 2023 Naming Committee — a school boardappointed committee made up of community members — presented the first reading of its recommendation package at the Hays CISD Board of Trustees workshop meeting on Monday, Nov.

Staff Report HAYS COUNTY — Hays CISD is in the process of creating an attendance zone to accommodate the opening of the district’s 16th elementary school. The campus, located in the Anthem subdivision in Kyle, will open in August 2024.

BUDA — Parents across Hays CISD are divided over the district’s new attendance policy, which states that a student could be unenrolled if they are absent without contact for five days. The policy was adopted by the board of trustees on Aug. 28.
