WELL Clinic gets boost
The board voted to expand health care service at the WELL Clinic and enter into a management agreement with CommuniCare. Upon approval from the federal agency that provided the grant for the clinic, this service expansion and management contract will allow the Hays CISD to save about $130,000 in annual operating costs.
More rooms to grow
Trustees also authorized the purchase of an additional two classroom portable buildings for Camino Real Elementary School. The units are needed to accommodate student growth.
Countdown to Kinder cancelled
Countdown to Kindergarten events scheduled at all Hays CISD elementary campuses have been cancelled. For children registered for Kindergarten in May, parents will receive a Kindergarten readiness packet in the mail. For those who have not already registered a child, they may do so at their home campus during summer hours, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday-Friday or at new student registration August 4-5. Elementary school front offices are closed from June 30 through July 11.
Hays CISD Summer hours
During the summer, HCISD and its campuses continue to operate, but with a slightly different schedule. All campuses are open Monday through Thursday from at least 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Central Office is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Middle and elementary school front offices are closed from June 30 through July 11; High school front offices are closed from June 30 through July 4. Summer school continues through the first two weeks of July.
The WELL Clinic will be open all summer from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday offering health services for HCISD students and siblings.
