HAYS CISD -- Four Hays Highsteppers and one Lehman Star Strutter signed their letters of intent on Tuesday, May 25 to continue their athletic career at the collegiate level.
Bailey Schmidt will be attending Texas State University to major in Social Work. Schmidt has been a Hays
Highstepper for four years and has served as a Service Officer for two years. Schmidt is continuing her dance career with the Texas State Strutters for the 2021-2022 school year.
Kierra Evans will be attending Sam Houston State University to major in Health Care Administration and serve on the Orange Pride Dance Team for the 2021-2022 school year. Evans has been a Highstepper for four years and has served as Sophomore Lieutenant and Co-Captain for two years.
Reef Doss will be attending the University of Texas at Austin to major in nursing. Doss has been a Hays Highstepper for four years where she has served as Sophomore Lieutenant and then as Captain for two years. Doss is the newest member of the University of Texas Pom Squad for the 2021-2022 school year.
Joselynn Franco will be attending Texas State University to major in Communication Studies and join the Texass State Strutters for the 2021-2022 school year. Franco has been a Highstepper for four years and has served as a Service officer for two years.
Angelica Villareal, Lehman High senior and Star Strutter, signed her letter of intent to perform with the Texas State University Strutters. Villareal has served on the Lehman Star Strutters team for four years, serving as Lieutenant her sophomore year and Captain her junior and senior years.
