HAYS COUNTY – Nearly 50,000 voters cast their ballot early for the Nov. 8 election as of Wednesday.
The Texas Secretary of State’s office recorded that out of 167,750 registered voters, 49,760 or 29.66% voted early (46,075 in person and 3,685 by mail) through the close of business on Nov. 2.
Few voters in Hays County visited the polls early in this election period compared to those in previous years.
- Out of the 134,403 registered voters, 62,583 or 46.56% voted early (57,262 in person and 5,321 by mail) through the close of business on Nov. 2, 2018.
- Out of 152,840 registered voters, 97,629 or 63.88% voted early (85,582 in person and 12,047 by mail)
