Lauren Bailey “Bean” Crisp, 19, lifelong member of the Dripping Springs community, tragically passed into the loving arms of her Lord early Saturday morning, February 18, 2012. Bailey attended DSISD from the very beginning. Graduating in 2011, she attended Blinn College in Brenham for one semester, before moving to College Station in January.
She had a vibrant, outgoing laugh and personality that was contagious to all who met her. As one of her best friends said, “Bailey could walk one block down the street and make 10 new friends That’s just the kind of person she was.” Our family has now witnessed the person we always hoped she would be, and the person she became.
The outpouring of support, love, and memories has been tremendous. Bailey could make you laugh when you felt like crying; smile when you felt like frowning; and live when you felt like dying. She honestly lived life to the fullest. Bailey was put here to teach us all a lesson. Life is precious and fragile! Don’t miss an opportunity to express your feelings, tell a loved one just how much they mean, don’t hold a grudge, be the bigger person, and remember that everything you know can be taken away in the blink of an eye.
Bailey taught us all these life lessons in the short 19 years we were blessed to know her. She was an amazing young woman who knew what she wanted out of life, which was everything! She lived it as she should have... smiled daily, laughed often, and made friends out of strangers. We should all be so fortunate as to learn some life lessons from Miss Bailey!
She is survived by her parents: mother, J. Nicole; father, Paul and wife Nancy; beloved brother Cody, brother William and sister Audrey; grandparents, Cliff and Betty; Pat (predeceased by Bill Crisp) and Larry; great-grandmother, Louise Hall of Driftwood (predeceased by Sydney Hall); Auntie, Shana; Aunt Paige and Uncle; cousins, Taryne, Justin, Jason, and Abby; numerous cousins, extended family, uncountable friends, and her always faithful companion, Rowdy.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church of Dripping Springs Saturday, February 25. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bailey Crisp Memorial Fund at Chase Bank, Dripping Springs.
