Long Center presents The Improvised Shakespeare Company
Experience the language and themes of classic Shakespeare with a new twist. Based on audience suggestion, The Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised play in Elizabethan style. Each of the players has brushed up on his “thee’s” and “thou’s” to bring you an evening of off-the-cuff comedy using the lingo of William Shakespeare. The night could reveal a tragedy, comedy or history. Each play is completely improvised, so each play is entirely new. Show times are Tues.-Thurs at 7:30 p.m., Fri. 8 p.m., Sat. at 3 and 8 p.m., and Sun. at 3 and 7 p.m. Sept. 18-23 at the Long Center in downtown Austin. For tickets, visit www.thelongcenter.org.
