The pumpkins are here! Hundreds of pumpkins of every size and shape are available for sale at the new pumpkin patch located at 824 North Main Street on the grounds of PQ Real Estate office. The annual pumpkin patch is a delightful event for our area children, sponsored by the men’s group from the Buda United Methodist Church. Stop by for just the right pumpkin and also remember the camera for the perfect photo.
Come out for First Thursday, Oct. 6 and enjoy a stroll down Main Street Buda. Art Around Town will provide “pumpkin art” for interested children starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Buda Public Library. A free historical walking tour will begin at 6 p.m. at the Gazebo on the Greenbelt. The tour takes about 30 minutes. Merchants will open their doors for shopping, eating and entertainment.

Members of Buda’s Onion Creek Senior Citizens are taking orders for the brick pavers that will be placed at the center of the walkway to the new senior center currently under construction on Barton’s Crossing. The engraved pavers are $100 each. A great way to remember a loved one, honor a family member or give the person who has everything a unique Christmas gift. Buda residents can drop unwanted items and trash at the annual fall cleanup from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the area behind Buda City Park, off Garison Rd. No tires, batteries, oil, paint, toxins or freon appliances will be accepted and one must have a city utility bill or Texas driver’s license with a city of Buda address.

As of Monday, downtown Buda will shine brighter at night since PEC workers installed the lights on the new street poles in old town Buda along the west side of Main Street.
