STAFF REPORT
Residents were informed of a Transportation Master Plan in the works for Dripping Springs in 2018. And in 2021, that plan could become a reality. The city will soon finalize these plans in the long-range planning document that defines goals and policies for the Dripping Springs transportation system. The plan also develops recommendations to prepare for future needs of the community. Dripping Springs has also been taking in residents’ input and comments regarding the future of the city’s transportation.
THE TRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN WILL:
• Promote safe mobility within the City’s transportation infrastructure
• Develop a future transportation system that accommodates growth
• Establish the ultimate roadway network and identify right-of-way needs to meet future growth
• Identify mobility improvements The Transportation Master Plan is in its final steps. It was presented during Tuesday’s Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and will be brought to city council during next week’s Tuesday meeting for public hearings and action.
More to come on P&Z’s adoption of the Transportation Master Plan.
