Wimberley Texans shut out Navasota

Wimberley Texans were not fooling around in their 56-0 shutout over the Navasota Rattlers.


The game was played at Bastrop Memorial Stadium Thursday.


The Texans came out strong, putting 21 points on the scoreboard in the first quarter, followed by 7 in the second quarter and 28 in the third quarter.


Wimberley now moves on in the playoffs, and will play the winner of the Devine v. Ingleside game. Details on where Wimberley’s next game will be held is not yet decided.


Cash McCollum, a sophomore, had a total of 120 yards for the night. Moses Wray, senior, led in the rushing category with 151 yards. Nathan Simpson, senior, had 84 receiving yards.
