Vets to be honored

Area schools have developed a well-deserved reputation for honoring military vets during annual Veterans Day ceremonies. A number of campuses stage these assemblies, all of them inviting vets to come take part. We’ll try to have more information soon on which campuses are doing so, dates and times. Two campuses have already asked that we extend their invitations: Fuentes Elementary (Thursday, Nov. 11, 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.) and Lehman High School.

Fuentes 3rd graders to perform

Fuentes Elementary School’s third grade students will present “Pure Imagination,” a music program, next Thursday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. Students, under the direction of music teacher Kristopher Brown, will don costumes and sing and dance to songs about their favorite book characters.
