Johnson High School


Johnson Jaguars Theatre

The Johnson Jaguars Theatre program made school history March 7 at the UIL One Act Play 6A Zone contest in Dripping Springs. The Jaguars, led by director Alyssa Flores, scored high enough to advance to the District competition later this month. It marks the first time the Jaguar theatre program has advanced to district and is also the first time in Hays CISD history that all three One Act Play productions from Hays High, Lehman High and Johnson High have advanced to the second round.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lehman High School


Lehman High Non Varsity Treble Chorus

How “Sweep” it was for the Lehman High nonvarsity Treble Chorus, pictured left, on March 7 as they exited the 2023 UIL Concert and Sightreading evaluations with a historic performance. The Treble Chorus, led by director Leo Garcia, earned a Superior rating in both Concert and Sightreading, which earned the group a coveted Sweepstakes trophy. It marked the first time since 2019 the Lehman High non-varsity Treble Chorus has won a Sweepstakes honor at UIL Concert and Sightreading.

It was all fun and games Wednesday, March 8 at Negley Elementary School's Field Day as the first and second grade Navigators competed in a myriad of activities, including shot-put, giant-size Score Four, Jenga, obstacle races and tug-of-war, just to name a few. There were many small victories throughout the morning and a few defeats, of course, but most of the competitors left the field dirty, sweaty and smiling from ear-to-ear.
