AUSTIN — Haiden Anderson got the win and Jai-Lynn Flores came in relief to help Dripping Springs defeat visiting Westlake 9-4 on Monday, March 13.
On Tuesday, Jordan Cox pitched a 7-inning complete game for the Lady Tigers at Lake Travis, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits while striking out nine batters for a 10-3 win.
Dripping Springs had 14 hits in the game with Taylor Anderson (team leading .582 batting average) going 4 for 5 at the plate. Dripping Springs was 7 for 7 in stolen bases and Erika Kanetzky accounted for 3 of those. Anderson had one stolen base in the game and is 33 for 33 in stolen bases on the season. In the circle, Cox is 12-2 on the season with a 2.04 ERA in 75.2 innings with 106 strike outs.
Dripping Springs varsity softball will host Bowie at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 and Akins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11. Dripping Springs baseball will host Akins at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 31 and Westlake at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4.
