LUCK OF THE IRISH
Some of the community’s youngest members got a chance to try their hand — or feet — at a basic Irish dance. Children were paired up with an InishFree dancer. Studio director and Belfast, Northern Ireland native Patrick McCarthy, center, instructs the group. The InishFree studio is located at 4631 Airport Blvd. in Austin. Members of the InishFree School of Irish Dance in Austin visited a packed-room Kyle Public Library on March 16 to perform a number of Irish dances for the community. Dancers from varying age groups and levels performed classic dances, personally choreographed dances, a few solos and a tap acapella number to close.[/caption]
