HAYS COUNTY — Early voting for the May 6 election wrapped up on Tuesday, May 2.
The ballot, which includes bonds for both Hays CISD and Dripping Springs ISD — $367 million and $223.7 million, respectively — will also give voters the opportunity to elect new school board members.
According to Hays County Elections Office data, 5,532 people voted early through the end of the day on Monday, May 1. Additionally, 230 mail-in-ballots were received. Vote totals include San Marcos CISD ballots.
The breakdown by city and district is as follows:
Austin – 1,633 (all DSISD)
Buda – 298 (all HCISD)
Driftwood – 378 (DSISD 358, HCISD 20)
Dripping Springs – 1,758 (all DSISD)
Kyle – 369 (all HCISD)
Manchaca, Maxwell, Mountain City, Uhland — 32 (DSISD 1, HCISD 31)
San Marcos – 1,064 (HCISD 52, SMCISD 1,012)
Mail in ballots — 230 (DSISD 96, HCISD 71, SMCISD 63)
Polls will close at press time. They will reopen for election day, Saturday, May 6.
