Wimberley – It was bittersweet, but sweet just the same, for senior Paige Crawford last Friday night as the Lady Texans lost in four sets against a strong nondistrict La Vernia team 11-25, 25-20, 16-25 and 23-25.
“Sure, I wish we could have gotten the win tonight,” said Crawford, who previously set a career milestone of 1,000 kills, had 36 service receptions, 17 kills and 17 digs in the game to reach another volleyball career milestone of 1,000 digs.
“I’m very grateful for this accomplishment but it could not have been possible without help from teammates and everyone coming together to support each other and that’s what we’re celebrating tonight.”
