WIMBERLEY — On Friday, Oct. 13, Caleb McCreless threw a touchdown pass after coming in at quarterback to relieve Wimberley’s starter Cody Stover who had three touchdown passes. The Texans would add six rushing touchdowns and Dail Hernandez, who missed one of 10 PATs, would kick a 27-yard field goal.
Wimberley used seven different receivers for 117 passing yards and rushed for 220 yards. Chase Carson, Owen O’Neal and Colton Schmidt each scored rushing touchdowns and Lane Towns scored two touchdowns on four carries for 98 yards. Parker Doss, Noah Birdsong, Nolan Waida and Ace Gonzales each caught touchdown passes.
Wimberley 7-0 (2-0) will travel to face Geronimo Navarro 5-2 (2-0) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20.
