Johnson High School senior Alyssa Escareno became the first student-athlete in Hays CISD to place at the UIL State Wrestling Tournament. She earned the bronze medal in the 107 pound weight division at the UIL Conference 6A State Tournament at Barry Center in Cypress on Feb. 16 and 17.
