KYLE — Unforgettable Families and Friends is hosting a shoe drive on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Gemstone Palace in Kyle.
Unforgettable Families and Friends is a 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 2016. Founded by Cynthia Bentley, the organization’s focus is helping the children of Hays County
“[The organization] benefits the children in our community. We have a reading program that's called ‘Bikes for Books’ reading program,” said Bentley. “We are trying to instill the love of reading in children at a very young age. We want them to realize that reading can travel them all over the world without leaving their homes, their bedrooms, their school and they can just travel and imagine. And also to let them know there's life beyond just Kyle, Texas.”
