AUSTIN — After earning a 56-14 win over the Austin High School Maroons last Thursday, Oct. 2, the Dripping Springs High School Tiger football team remains undefeated in district play, with a record of 6-0.
The Tigers jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and never looked back. Some of the notable offense stats include: Tiger quarterback Chase Ames with three rushing yards, 393 passing yards and one touchdown; Cooper Reid with five receptions for 109 yards and three touchdowns; and James Montgomery with four receptions for 177 yards and two touchdowns.
On the defensive side, the notable players were Gage De Los Santos and Major Bettridge, who both had an interception each and contributed to a strong outing by the Tigers defense.
The Tigers will next host Bowie High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10.
