Country music fans were in for an aural delight as the Railcar Revival Festival returned to Buda Amphitheater and City Park for its second year Saturday, Nov. 8. While there were performers from all over the country, there was a focus on up-and-coming artists from Texas.


The opening act, Shelby Stone, pictured above, hails from Fort Worth and displayed vocal ability and songwriting skills far beyond her years.

Next up, The Wilder Blue, who dub themselves as “Travelin’ Texas Troubadours” kicked off their set with an easygoing, poised confidence and camaraderie. Band members consist of Zane Williams (lead), Sean Rodriguez, Paul Eason, Andy Rogers, Lyndon Hughes (drums).

Bayker Blankenship, lead vocalist, and his bandmates drummer Gabriel Grizzard, guitarists Eddy Hay and Nick England and bassist Boyd Hamilton range from 18 to 26 years old. Blankenship hails from Livingston, Tennessee.

Other performances included Uncle Lucius and his bandmates, with their blend of southern rock and country, perfect for unwinding.

Self-taught country musician Hudson Westbrook, who was born and raised in Stephenville, Texas, headlined the festival. His 17-track debut album, Texas Forever, is out now.
