Thank you message to supporters and community

As I conclude my three years of service on the City Council, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our community and to everyone who supported me along the way. Serving this city has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life.

Growing up in this small town, I’ve seen and been a part of both its past and its future. Watching our community grow while having the opportunity to serve it has been something truly special. From day one, it was never about me, but always about the residents and the community we call home. Every decision and every challenge were guided by the desire to make a difference for the people who make this city what it is.

If I look back at the things I’ve accomplished, serving on the City Council stands among my greatest honors. My childhood self would be proud to see how far I’ve come — from humble beginnings to helping shape the future of the very community that raised me. Throughout this journey, I’ve worked to show integrity, dedication, and heart in everything I did, always keeping the best interests of our residents at the center of my efforts.

I’m deeply grateful for the friendships, partnerships, and sense of family that I now have in this city. These bonds are what make our community so strong and remind me why public service matters. My heart is full. This opportunity made my dreams come true, and I hope that through my work, I’ve been a positive role model for other kids who come from similar beginnings — proof that with perseverance and purpose, anything is possible.

One of my proudest moments was hearing my six-year-old son start talking about road projects and city improvements at home — a reminder that leadership and civic pride can begin at any age.

As this chapter comes to a close, I look forward to some well-deserved rest and family time, and to focusing on new private projects and startups that continue driving innovation, growth, and opportunity. I wish my fellow council members and the newly elected council all the best as they continue working for the good of our city.

It has truly been an honor to serve and to be part of the City of Kyle’s story. Thank you for your trust, encouragement, and partnership — the future is bright, and I’ll always be proud to have been part of this community’s journey.

With gratitude,
Miguel A. Zuniga PhD
Kyle City Council
