Residents lined up outside Inspired Minds Art Center in Buda Saturday, Feb. 7, to participate in Buy a Bowl, Feed 100 People. They were able to select unique bowls, following a $35 donation to the Hays County Food Bank.
There were more than 200 handmade, ceramic bowls available. Prior to their selection, attendees selected a token from local restaurants to receive a soup of their choice. Options included: chicken tortilla soup from Taste on Main; roasted fire tomato basil soup from Mudbugs; Tom Yum soup from Gotji’s; chicken tortilla soup from Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant; butternut squash puree from Buda Soda Fountain; and chicken and sausage gumbo from Brooklyn’s Down South.
