Dripping Springs dominated both games, winning the opener 18–1 before completing the sweep with a 9–0 victory in game two. The Tigers showcased strong pitching, timely hitting and solid defense to start district competition on a high note.

Last week also marked a major milestone for Tigers head baseball coach Chris Payne, who was recognized for surpassing 400 career victories as head coach of the Dripping Springs High School baseball program.

The Tigers will return to action at home March 24, when they host the Bowie High School Bulldogs, who enter the matchup with a strong 14-4-1 record for the season.
