Hays County officials cut the ribbon for Karst Canyon Preserve Friday, March 27, in front of more than 100 residents in attendance. The 175 acres of protected land — which has access through Jacob’s Well Natural Area — was made possible through years of “partnership, persistence and a shared vision of conservation,” according to the county. Phase 1 welcomes the community with two miles of new trails to explore, with Phase 2 on the way to add two more miles.
