Buda Johnson advances to Area after shutout against Laredo United

The Johnson High School Jaguars baseball team hosted Laredo’s United High School Longhorns for game two of the Bi-District playoff series Friday, May 1, following a 12-1 win in Laredo the night before. The Jaguars shutout the Longhorns 10-0 for the series win and Bi-District champion title. 

Johnson will face the Economedes High School Jaguars from Edinburg in a best-of-three series, beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Veterans Field in Laredo. Game two will be held at the same field at 7 p.m. Friday, May 8. Game three, if needed, will be played at noon Saturday, May 9.
