Liam Portillo, left, Gale Portillo and Elena Portillo pose for a photo at their booth, Knit a Bit. According to Elena, the trio began fiber art after taking a class at their local library. She gravitated toward knitting, while Liam and Gale took to crochet. Their items vary, but all include hard work, said Elena, as some pieces took as little as 30 minutes to as long as two days to complete.
