KYLE — Hays County invites community members to attend an open house Thursday, Oct. 1, to learn about planned roadway improvements in east Kyle as part of the county’s Road Improvements Program.

Projects include improvements: along High Road; Hillside Terrace; Dairy Road; Bunton Lane; Heidenreich Lane; Gristmill Road; Goforth Road; FM 2001; and Windy Hill Road.

The open house will provide updates on roadway projects aimed at improving safety and mobility for residents, businesses and travelers in the rapidly growing east Kyle area, according to a news release.

The open house will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Gemstone Palace, 1101 Bunton Creek Road, Suite 200, Kyle. Community members may attend at any time to review project information, ask questions and speak directly with the project team.

“As our community continues to grow, it’s important that our transportation infrastructure reflects that,” Precinct 1 commissioner Debbie Ingalsbe said. “Road improvements in east Kyle will enhance safety and mobility while preparing the area for continued growth.”

Meeting materials and opportunities to submit comments will also be available online at www.hayscoroads.com from Oct. 1 through Oct. 16.

“We want residents to have easy access to information about these projects and the opportunity to speak directly with the people working on them,” Precinct 2 commissioner Michelle Cohen said. “The open house gives residents an opportunity to learn more about these projects, ask questions and stay informed about upcoming improvements.”

For more information about the projects, contact the Road Improvements Program Engagement Team at 512-649-0601 or [email protected].
