projectART presents new group exhibition

Author: Graphic by Barton Publications

WIMBERLEY — projectART presents SATURATION, a group exhibition exploring vivid color, visual intensity and the idea of fullness.

Opening Oct. 9, the exhibition brings together nine artists whose work considers what happens when experience reaches emotional and sensory abundance and how that intensity can transform perception, read a news release.

Participating artists include Matt Rebholz, Olivia Gray, Jonas Criscoe, Hyla Zamoa, Shannon Faseler, Jeff Worden, Benjamin H. McVey, Teresa Moralez-Davis and Lydia Shanafelt. Working across a range of visual practices, the artists approach saturation through bold palettes, rich surfaces, dense compositions and immersion, continued the release.

Together, the works consider saturation as both a visual condition and a broader social, psychological, cultural and environmental experience. The exhibition asks what happens when intensity reaches a threshold — when fullness becomes excess, when emotion becomes engulfing and when accumulation begins to shift the way we perceive ourselves and the world around us.

SATURATION will be accompanied by additional programming throughout its run, including a painting class led by Olivia Gray Nov. 7 and an artist talk with Matt Rebholz Dec. 19. These programs provide additional opportunities for audiences to engage with the artists, their processes and the ideas explored throughout the exhibition.
