Michael Tobias appears to have easily won the election for the unexpired term of Kyle City Council member Daphne Tenorio in the special election held Saturday, Jan. 25.
Tobias received 97 votes (69.78 percent) compared to 42 votes (30.22 percent).
Tenorio resigned her seat in able to pursue the Democratic nomination for Hay County Treasurer.
Tobias will serve until November 2021.
