DRIPPING SPRINGS – Holly Morris-Kuentz’s contract for superintendent at Dripping Springs ISD has been extended for five years.
Holly Morris-Kuentz is continuing her position as the superintendent of Dripping Springs ISD.
Morris-Kuentz was originally chosen to lead the district at the special meeting of the board of trustees held on May 5, 2021 – she was named the lone finalist for the position on April 13, 2021, and started her new role on May 6, 2021.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to join this amazing team and to serve in Dripping Springs,” Morris-Kuentz said after she was selected for the position. “Over the last 11 years, I have had wonderful experiences leading in a fast-growth district and love the work of engaging a community in that process. I know that, as a growing district, there is much work ahead and I am excited to roll up my sleeves and begin. I want to thank the staff, parents and community members who have reached out and given me a warm welcome. My family and I look forward to becoming a part of the Dripping Springs ISD community.”
Morris-Kuentz assumed the position following interim Brett Springston’s time in leadership, who took over after Todd Washburn resigned in October 2020.
