Roadway damage caused by weekend flooding is forcing Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials to close the RM 150 double low water crossings over Onion Creek near Kyle.
In a tweet Tuesday, TxDOT officials said barricades been placed to prevent commuters from crossing the damaged road. Anyone who attempts to drive around the barriers will be ticketed. It is unknown at this time how long the road will remain closed to traffic.
Commuters are encouraged to use alternate routes to reach the Drifwood and Dripping Springs area.
Alternate routes:
• FM 1626 to RM 967 to RM 1826 to RM 150
• FM 150 in Kyle to FM 3237 to RR 12 in Wimberley
