On Friday, June 2 at noon, the Dripping Springs Tiger softball team will take on the Willis Ladykats in the UIL Class 5A state semifinal game at McCombs Field in Austin.
Dripping Springs reaches the state tournament for the first time since 2011, with the program making its fifth overall state appearance in school history. Willis is making its first state tournament appearance in school history.
The winner of Dripping Springs/Willis will square off against the winner of The Colony/Canyon on Saturday at 3 p.m.
